Talk: Algorithmische Realitäten – Frei- und Spielräume in der digitalen Welt
Algorithmic Realities – Free and Playful Spaces in the Digital World
Ministry of Family, Children, Youth, Culture and Sports, 9th Cultural Policy Dialogue: Digitally, more people can be reached with art and culture,
on September 30, 2016.
Will digitalization make us more free or less free in the long run? Does it create new opportunities for abuse and control or, on the contrary, more social and personal autonomy? These were the questions discussed by Minister of Culture Christina Kampmann at the 9th Cultural Policy Dialogue in Düsseldorf with creative artists and representatives of the cultural sector.
Interlocutors at the 9th Cultural Policy Dialogue included Dr. Inke Arns (Hartware MedienKunstVerein, Dortmund), Prof. Dr. Dirk Baecker (University of Witten/Herdecke), Angela Richter (Schauspiel Köln), Kay Voges (Theater Dortmund) and Prof. Dr. Georg Trogemann (Academy of Media Arts Cologne). The event was moderated by Stefan Hilterhaus (PACT Zollverein). „We as a state government see digitization as a social design task. The new digital possibilities allow us to reach many more people with art and culture. However, there are still many unanswered questions, and the processes are developing very dynamically“ explained Minister Kampmann.
